In the beautiful summer month of June, the ABLE project team meet in our third TPM in Sintra, Portugal. We found Portugal in celebration, as there were the national days at the time of the meeting, June 9-10.
Our amazing partner Form2you welcomed us at the Agrupamento Escolas D. Carlos I with open arms.
With rain and sunshine, with old friends and good partners, the meeting was a success. During this meeting, we discussed the key aspects of the project and outlined the next crucial step: collecting and publishing a book featuring the stories of rural women who have played a vital role in ABLE!
We want to thank our Portuguese partners for charging with us their culture, beautiful city, history and tasty cuisine.
P.S. Sintra is the town where the Portuguese royalty of the 13th-19th centuries built numerous summer residences. Not an hour away from sunny Lisbon, the hills of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, covered with pine forests, were the monarchs' favourite place to spend the summer months in a cooler climate. Fortresses, palaces and mansions, all with lush gardens were built here and can still be seen. Sintra has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.
